I teach Pre-K 4!
What is your favorite thing to do outside of the classroom?
I enjoy spending time with my family!
What is something students would be surprised to learn about you?
My sweet Pre K students are always surprised to learn that I don’t live at school.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that children should be able to come to school each day knowing that they are loved and that they are safe. Children are individuals - everyone is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses. Teachers must respect this and educate each child as an individual.
Who has influenced you most as an educator?
All of my former teachers have influenced me in some way to become the teacher I am.
What is one thing a teacher said or did that resonated with you?
A teacher I used to work with very clearly made every student feel so special and loved - I hope to make all of my students feel this way.
What is the most recent book you read?
I reread Wonder by R. J. Palacio.
What is your favorite quote/saying?
“The golden rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
Mrs. Peterson is from Norwood, MA and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Framingham State University.
