Teacher Feature of the Week: Mrs. Stoffregen

What class do you teach?

I teach 3rd Grade!

What is your favorite thing to do outside of the classroom?

I love to be at the beach, ski, and follow PSU football with my family.  I like to scrap book and take pictures of sunsets. I enjoy watching my kids play sports.

What is something students would be surprised to learn about you?

I haven't eaten red meat since I was 10.
 

What is your teaching philosophy?

All students can learn and want to learn. It's my job is to meet them where they are and move them forward.

Who has influenced you most as an educator?

A previous co-worker when I first started to teach. 

What is one thing a teacher said or did that resonated with you?

Never wait, life goes faster than you think!  I couldn't agree more now as a parent of 3 teenagers.

What is the most recent book you read?

I "UnSelfie" by Michelle Borba, Ed.D.

What is your favorite quote/saying?

“Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”

Mrs. Stoffregen is from New York, and now lives in Yardley PA and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Kutztown University and an Elementary Degree from Alvernia University.
