Teacher Feature of the Week: Ms. McFadden

We sat down with 4th and 5th grade teacher Ms. McFadden for this week's visit to the Teacher's Lounge!


What class do you teach?

I teach 5th grade all subjects (except science) & 4th grade social studies.
 

What is your favorite thing to do outside of the classroom?

I love to sing, hike, and watch movies!
 

What is something students would be surprised to learn about you?

Even though I love teaching geography, I’ve never been outside of the country!
 

What is your teaching philosophy?
 

Students should develop personal connections to what they are learning. This will foster lifelong learning that spans beyond the classroom. 
 

Who has influenced you most as an educator?

My 4th grade teacher inspired me to become an educator. 

What is one thing a teacher said or did that resonated with you?

Trying your best is key! 

What is your favorite quote/saying?

Everything happens for a reason!

Ms. McFadden is from Churchville, PA  and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Music from The College of New Jersey.
